What is Identity Correlation?
Identity correlation is a process that allows your organization to
accurately associate individuals with the various account credentials that
belong to those individuals, and disassociate the account credentials that
should no longer be accessible to any active individual within your
organization.
Naturally, identity correlation not only
involves the initial act of searching for and finding all of the relevant system
and application login credentials that relate to each individual, but then
undergoing a validation process that determines whether these credentials belong
to that individual or not.
Once an account has been validated, this
process can permanently link ownership to particular individuals by assigning a
unique identifier (also called a primary or common key) to all validated account
login IDs.
